Craving Community
Importance of community
Living with eczema is hard. Whether you or someone you love has eczema, patient and non-clinical support groups can be an important resource for navigating symptoms and treatment options.
Eczema, or atopic dermatitis, is a chronic skin condition that causes redness, itching and rash. The unpredictable nature of eczema flare ups can reak havoc on a person’s lifestyle.
Non-clinical support groups connect people with similar experiences, especially if support is not available from immediate family or friends. Adequate social support may be the buffer needed to combat the emotional distress of low self esteem, sleep disturbances and social isolation caused by eczema.
Bath + Body Fusion created a space (be it a virtual one) to facilitate those connections. We are proud to launch the Bath + Body Fusion Eczema Community Page on Facebook.
We believe providing a space for people to learn from each other is an invaluable service that aligns with our mission to shine light and love in our community.
No matter your schedule, you can find support when you need it.
Committed to safety
The Bath + Body Fusion Eczema Community Group is private. In order to protect our members and keep it safe, members must be pre-approved to join. No soliciting. No spam.
Our Eczema Community offers support to the newly diagnosed, stress-coping strategies and ways to manage the itch-stratch cycle. The community emphasizes belonging over isolation, empathy over judgment and encourages members to practice self-care in return.
Who can join
Invitations to join are sent out to our Bath + Body Fusion followers on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Feel free to extend the invitation to friends and family who are living with eczema or who you feel may benefit from the support.
Share your story
Your story is important, sharing it may be the catalyst for someone else’s healing. Sometimes that is all someone needs to get through a tough time. So join us and our Eczema Community to shine light and love and help each other while we help ourselves.
